How to Edit an Email Template in MakeGood

How to Edit an Email Template in MakeGood

Step 1: Access Company Settings

In the bottom left corner of your screen click Settings to open the company settings menu. Note that the menu bar layout may update periodically so if your settings have moved check the bottom left corner first.

Step 2: Find Your Template

Inside Settings you will see a list of your available email templates by name. Scroll through the list to find the template you want to edit and click on it to open it.
Important note: The Send Multiple Invoices template is not currently listed in this section. If that is the template you need to edit please contact your MakeGood representative directly.

Step 3: Preview the Template

Before making any changes click the preview icon to see exactly how the template currently looks. This is a good habit before editing to make sure you are working on the correct template.

Step 4: Edit the Template

Once you are in the preview click the edit icon in the top right corner of the screen. This will open the template in edit mode.

Everything in the template is clickable and editable including:

Body text: click directly on any text to edit or delete it

Variables: you can add, remove, or swap variables such as balance due, client name, invoice number, and others

Step 5: Save Your Changes

When you are finished making edits click the Save button. Your changes will be saved immediately and will apply to all future communications using that template going forward.
If you want to exit without saving click Cancel and no changes will be applied.
